“Lean forward moment” of the week - 🥱Actually, Boring is good

This week, I actually want to share a blog post I found this week.

It’s about the stage of AI, and understanding that boring software is actually good.

This is coming from someone who truly love AI, I think it is a great tool, but taking over every piece of software and app is not the answer.

A brief anecdote and I will leave the blog post for you guys to read. I promise!

A client of mine shared this week that other lawyers are using AI to automate conversations with clients so she wanted to learn how to use it.

However, she felt kind of sad because she did not want to stop communicating to clients, she thought this was her strong suit. So, I quickly told her to not think of using it to replace client communication, but to use it to create more time so she could have more of it.

To me, AI Models should not replace humans but make tasks faster to create more human interaction.

I can’t think of something more disrespectful than answering an email with a clearly AI written response. This kind of response makes me think “this person didn't even take the time to at least edit the message to sound like themselves? I guess our conversation is not that important to them as it is for me…”

100% Save time in repetitive tasks. BUT client communication, donor communication, team communication, and even family communication! Should NOT be replaced by automatic replies.

I don't want a bot to make art, I want it to do is fold my laundry (please make this happen world) and allow me more time with the people I love.

Any way that’s the end of my ramble, here’s the post if you are interested!
