Welcome to the networking desk! Where I share local events in Atlanta and metro area, plus things I found interesting during the week.

This past week I was travelling, however that did not stop me from playing with a few tools to improve my team and communication with my clients.

This week I will explain how images can be used for something other than making family pictures look like anime characters haha.

Here’s what we got this week:

“Lean forward moment” of the week - Better AI Images 🎇

I do hate that most news are AI things nowadays…

But hey, we do need to stay on top of what’s changing businesses and until we actually get good and consistent AI tools we got to deal with this mess.

ChatGPT had an update to their image generating software and rather than making images of your family in anime style, why not look for ways to communicate better with clients or even with team members?

Let’s for example say that you are a roofer, and you want to show a client how a metal roof would look on their home… you could show pictures of past projects where this was done and let their imagination figure out how that would look on theirs.

However, if we use AI we can give a clear before and after picture or at least something close with their actual home, I am 100% into this, as it is not “taking people’s job” and rather communicates the desire outcome better, helping them sell more.

I am also going to start communicating with my clients and team, certain style preferences, let’s say I want to make an ad for a free computer virus inspection

I can start by drawing what I have on my head…

And by giving a bit of a description to go from an ugly paper representation to an actual color ad I can share and modify until I can better communicate with my designer what I want, this helps save a ton of time! Here’s what ChatGPT came up with

So many times in the past I have jumped into an editing software so I can create a basic layout of what I need for a client before sending it to the designer, now we can get much faster and achieve what the client actually wanted in less time.

Even some pictures are getting good enough to use on websites and some marketing material, but not all, I think photography still delivers the best result there.

Using this for communication I think is where it is at. An image can speak volumes, so if we can do this now faster than ever, we should start taking advantage of this.

Local shop of the week - One Zo Boba Buford

Not an ad – just a cool spot you can visit

Ok, so I have promoted One Zo Boba in the past, but my fiancée and I have been having a bunch of date nights here that I felt like I need to share again.

It also seems to not be that busy ever, so if you are ever in the area, go check them out. The Uji Oreo Brulee is my go to, and for my girl is the Strawberry Premium Matcha Latte, they are both amazing.
