🔥Burn Your Boats | ATL Networking Events 02/24/2025
🗓️ Metro Atlanta Events & Business Tips

Final week of February, and you haven’t been out yet? Of course you have. That’s why you are here.
Hey! Andres here,
Welcome to the networking desk! We got a great week ahead of us (specially with some events being game nights, and even a trampoline park!?!
Here’s what we got this week:
How burning “your boats” creates success within organizations
Fun events this week and networking
Alright, let’s do this.

“Lean forward moment” of the week - 🔥Burning your boats creates success
Let’s be honest, a lot of us are half in and half out.
We are constantly thinking: “Well, I could do X or Y because I still have those skills. If any of this fails”.
It does not work that way.
Back in the day, conquistadors would have to subdue the locals before they could build fresh boats and return home. They would literally burn their only way back. This created only 2 possible scenarios, they either win and go back home or lose it all in battle.
Last December, I decided, this is the only way I do things now.
“Having options“ really serves no purpose other than to create excuses. Having that itch of “oh, I could go back” just distracts from the real challenges we face, and we, as people with missions, within organizations or entrepreneurs we knew this was going to be hard, but there is a bigger reason why we do this (hint: it’s usually your vision statement). So, remember that.
This is a long game. Great business or non-profits are not build in a day. It takes time to become consistent and create focus, even more to be exceptional.
Please keep at it. I want your mission to change the world for the better.
