Welcome to the networking desk! This week I got something a little different, I was here thinking about what to write when I got it.

I am just going to go on and on about what’s happening to me and my business. Kind of like a diary entry if you will.

Here’s what we got this week:

“Lean forward moment” of the week - How to

Alright today is just one of those days where I'm just going to speak from the heart.

Ready? Ok I warned you.

It has been a tough 3 weeks. So, I thought it would be nice just for me to record this point of time in business (like a diary). And no, nothing bad is happening, actually quite the opposite, business is going well!

However, I can feel how I am becoming the constraint preventing my business to grow. It feels weird. More projects show up, and I want to be hyper focused on all and give them my all, but I only have so many hours in a day.

It really shows the importance of a team.

At this point, it would be easy to blame contractors or my assistant for not doing things fast enough, but it's all me.

I noticed I am not setting timelines, thinking “i can do better” (which I could) but I need another 24 hours in a day.

Got some to spare? Haha

But seriously, team building and hiring is such a complex skill that I am learning and going through. I am thankful to have found team members that are willing to learn and adjust to my ways and also want the same — to see clients succeed.

I say all this to say that, I'm proud of what I have built, and that I can share my growth with clients, friends and of course you guys!

Entrepreneurship is a lonely path, but doesn't mean that other biz owners are not there to support you.

Keep going guys. You got this.

P.S - Of course, I am not letting you leave empty-handed with a quick tip. This is from a newsletter that I am a part of and is to get more reviews, which YES they do turn into business!

The Tip:

Have your employees surprise customers with an unexpected gift or extra service.

Then, as the owner, send a personal message: "Hey [name], [employee] told me how much they enjoyed [serving] you. They get a [$50] bonus if you leave them a 5-star review sharing your experience. Would you mind taking 2 minutes to help them out?"

You could even automate this message on your phone dictionary shortcuts to just show up when you type “customerreview” for example.
