šŸ—“ļø Metro Atlanta Events & Business Tips

Please, find me the top events in the Atlanta area (this would be your prompt to me šŸ™‚)

I’m sorry but as an AI language model…

Just kidding lol. Hey! Andres here,

Welcome to the networking desk! This week I thought I would share a prompt I made for ChatGPT that has helped me make emails faster for clients, and brainstorm ideas.

This is specially helpful for those who struggle with writing!

🌟 Don’t forget to share your networking wins (or business wins and tips) to be featured next time!

Here’s what we got this week:

  • Lean forward moment

  • A few interesting events from the community

Alright, let’s do this.

ā€œLean forward momentā€ of the week - šŸ“§My Emailing Prompt

This week, I want to talk about writing!

*BORING!!*

I know, I know, but bare with me here…

I write a lot. Tons of notes in Notion, scribbles in notebooks, random ideas for my business and clients… Most of it never sees the light of day. But when I go back and read it later, it feels like a time machine. A snapshot of who I was at that moment.

Now, I know writing isn’t everyone’s favorite.

Some people freeze when they try to put words into an email. Others are such ā€œgood writersā€ that their stuff ends up sounding like a PhD paper. Neither one helps.

That’s why I started cheating. 🤫 but don't tell anyone…

I’ve been training an AI tool with my writing style. I dump my messy notes, old emails, even stuff from courses I’ve taken. And out comes a draft that I can polish into something like email marketing ideas I can use for my business and my client’s.

Honestly, it’s saved me a ton of time.

Does it always work? No.

Sometimes it spits out nonsense and I just laugh at it. But most of the time, it gives me a structure to start from. And that’s the hardest part. Starting.

Here’s how I make it work:

  1. Give it context. The more detail, the better. What you’re writing, who it’s for, tone, your values.

  2. Talk it out. I’ll use voice-to-text and just rant for minutes sometimes, lol, I think the AI gets tired of me at some point. It not only gets ideas out of my head fast, but it also teaches the AI how I sound.

  3. DO NOT copy and paste. This is supposed to be ideas, frameworks, make sure you edit. Even with mine which I’ve been training for weeks, I go ā€œHUH?! What is this?ā€ from time to time, where it struggles to tell stories or share information. So please read and edit.

  4. Keep it simple. If a word feels too ā€œprofessional,ā€ I’ll cut it. People stop reading when you over polish and make it sound like they need to go back to school to understand.

I put together the exact prompt I use. Feel free to steal it. Just download it here:

I also want to teach you how to set up your own and train it based on your own data, and writing style:

  1. You need at least ChatGPT Plus (Paid) to do this

  2. Create a Project

  1. Name it and create it.

  1. We will now add files. These files are everything you want to feed it to reference. Think, your past emails, newsletters, YouTube video scripts, posts, anything. Warning, please don’t feed it things you have written with AI, or you will get a bunch of generic stuff.

  1. Perfect, now that is ready. We will add our prompt! You can start with the one I shared, and customize it, or make your own. You don’t have to write it to the prompt box every time, to make it remember, go to the options and add instructions, now every time you start a chat it will remember what the original prompt was and be able to create emails or whatever else you want.

Try it. It might save you hours. Or at least give you a good laugh.
