🗓️ Metro Atlanta Events & Business Tips

Let’s get you ready for next week events. Ready? Go!
Hey! Andres here,
Welcome to the networking desk! Hope you are staying warm. This week we have a bunch of events, just make sure you stay warm… or cold? I don’t even know now with this crazy weather.
🌟 Don’t forget to share your networking wins (or business wins and tips) to be featured next time!
OR Let me know what you’d like to see more of, I am always open to getting this community closer.
Here’s what we got this week:
Lean forward moment
Local Events to participate in
Looking for a good restaurant recommendation? I got you.
Alright, let’s do this.

“Lean forward moment” of the week - 🗣️ My Network Ready Pitch
If there’s a framework I appreciate having, it is being able to grab attention with my 1-minute intros.
Often times networking events will let you introduce yourself. It usually goes like this:
“My name is Andres, and I make websites, ahhh, yeah we can help with [long list of things no one will remember] and yeah, if you know anyone who needs that, let’s connect”
Sure buddy, people already forgot your name already lol. OK, so let’s change that.
Here’s the framework I use, every second of the 60, counts.
My template:
*FIRST = Decide what service you will talk about. Remember that long list? Pick one, which one is the most popular or most common thing you do?
Identification - 5 seconds - Here you may say your name and make it relatable “My name is Carol, yeah like a Christmas Carol” something that solidifies your name in their memory. People make connections with people so mentioning your company, phone, address or anything else is irrelevant, they will get to know that later.
Logic - 15 seconds - New value, usable information. Something that people may use if they never see me again / something to insert in a conversation. Say a fact, “People don’t buy anything unless they get contacted at least 5 times, and sales don’t happen until the 8th contact.”
Differentiation - 5 seconds - Why I am good at this. (Do not compare with competition) mention what comes naturally to you / what you have worked hard to learn / take a cliché like “I am well organized” and share what it means when you say it about yourself “I have a tracking system for each of my clients, that tells me the exact amount of contacts for each person.”
Emotion & Memory - 15 seconds - Tell a story. How you used the blue section to give a client advantage. Problem - Action - Result (PAR) “I had a client who had X problem, by doing Y, I was able to get them Z result!”
Transition - 20 seconds from here until the end - I am good referral for ___ who ____, now tell them who you are good for, don’t say “if you are this person” because if they are not, the thought process ends there, by saying “I am a good referral for Lucy who is the owner of the local grooming business” I am asking for a specific type of person, if they match that profile they will tell you, if not, then they will think of someone who does match.
Client ID - Who + Description / in order to know who that “Lucy” is you have to ID your ideal client for the service you picked:
Who is always a person, with name, title, and or relationship.
“Description” must be something people in the event can hear or see - ex. I am a good referral for Lucy who is always talking about the new grooming expo she attended. That is a visible characteristic.
Question - What question will start a conversation, how can a conversation for an intro can start like? “Ask Lucy, if she can remember every pet’s name” this can lead to the conversation of needing the service you offer.
🎄📣December Google Ads Grants!
Hey! In case you didn’t know, I make websites and help non-profits to stay top of mind to create more revenue.
Now we are starting to see numbers go up in searches, so having the free advertisement money is key for the holidays! If you know a nonprofit, an introduction now can make a big difference for a lot of people this holiday season. I’d love to connect.

Looking for a nice place to meet? - Damasco
Not an ad – just a cool spot you can visit
Me and my soon-to-be wife, Karen, used to eat their food when they sold food during weekends. Now they have their own restaurant, and it is so awesome to go there and have food. Trust me, it won’t disappoint if you like Mediterranean food with a touch of Hispanic culture :)
