🗓️ Metro Atlanta Events & Business Tips

GOOOD MORNING! Guess what? It’s Friday, which means, time to wrap up and plan for next week:
Hey! Andres here,
Welcome to the networking desk! I have had a ton of things to think about in the past few weeks, as I work on my offer, train team members, figure out my posting schedule on social media and picking what GIF I will add to the newsletter.
But, as always, I am here to bring you curated events and how I’ve been approaching staying relevant.
Here’s what we got this week:
Staying relevant for your audience
Curated local events
Alright, let’s do this.

“Lean forward moment” of the week - 🧸 Staying Relevant
The other day, I was chatting with my writer about marketing, websites, and how we can help our clients (and ourselves) stay relevant.
And she hit me with a story that really stuck.
She used to love this nonprofit that made custom plushies made out of old clothes for different “save the planet” causes for raising money. She followed their work, bought four of those handmade plushies during different campaigns, and was always excited to support what they were doing.
Then... radio silence.
No emails, no posts, no updates. Nothing.
She figured they had closed down. But out of curiosity, she checked during our meeting and turns out... they’re still around. Just completely quiet.
And in that silence, they kind of disappeared from her world.
This is why relevance matters. Being active matters. Being seen matters.
That nonprofit had a real community, real momentum... and they lost it, not because they did anything wrong, but because they stopped showing up.
So, how often should we show up?
Honestly? As often as we can.
Especially if your business or organization depends on frequency-based decisions — like recurring purchases, services, or donations.
This is why I push newsletters so much. You own that list. It’s not dependent on algorithms or someone scrolling at the right time. You can build trust consistently, directly, and personally.
Same with social media. Yes, it can feel repetitive, but people categorize you based on what they see consistently. If they associate your name with good vibes, useful info, or just that you're “around,” you become top of mind for your specific topic or section of the market.
Now, important note: don’t just talk about yourself.
Make your content do something. Help people learn, feel something, laugh, get inspired. Think about the emotion you want the reader to walk away with. That’s the stuff that sticks, not just your latest award or announcement.
I talked about how to create interest in this issue of the newsletter
Oh, and on a side note: I’m diving deep into Google Ads for nonprofits lately. Seriously underutilized space. I’ll be making something good that might help some of you doing meaningful work get way more eyes on your mission. Stay tuned! As always, I will be sharing more stuff here.
🖥️ Quick & shameless plug:
Hey! In case you didn’t know, I make websites and help non-profits (and businesses) to stay top of mind to create more revenue.
